KIMBO Design Principal and Creative Director Kim Pickett has been selected as a judge for the Album Artwork of the Year category at the 2018 JUNO Awards. This category recognizes packaging design projects for the strength and cohesiveness of their design, the ability to impact its intended market, and the potential for marketing and promotion.
“I couldn’t be happier to have another opportunity to apply my design expertise to Canada’s thriving national music industry,” said Pickett. “Supporting the creative community is very important to me as a designer and former artist. I’m incredibly proud of the honour of participating with a great event like the JUNO Awards.”
Pickett was also a judge for the Album Artwork of the Year JUNO in 2014. With this year’s nominations including artwork for Arcade Fire, Daniel Caesar, The Lost Fingers, Esmerine, and Do Make Think Say, the competition for album design supremacy should once again be intense.
Winners will be announced at the 2018 JUNO Awards presentation on Sunday, March 25, in Vancouver, B.C.
