Ministry of Agriculture – FeedBC

Feed BC is a provincial government initiative led by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, aimed at increasing the presence of British Columbia (B.C.) food in hospitals, residential care facilities, public post-secondary institutions, and other government-supported facilities.

Through Feed BC, the Ministry collaborates across government departments and partners with stakeholders in the public sector, industry, and agriculture sectors to achieve the following objectives:

  • Raise Awareness and Demand: Promote B.C. food products within public institutions and beyond.
  • Support Producers: Enhance the capacity and market readiness of B.C. food and beverage producers and processors.
  • Innovate Supply Chains: Develop value chain innovations and supply chain solutions to meet B.C. food demand.
  • Monitor Progress: Measure, report, and promote the advancements and partnerships of Feed BC.

Increasing B.C. food in public institutions:

  • Economic Support: Stimulates employment and sustains businesses for farmers, fishers, ranchers, and food processors throughout B.C.
  • Enhancing Food Security: Strengthens the provincial food supply and bolsters resilience in the food system.
  • Community Connection: Links patients, residents, students, workers, and clients to locally sourced food.
  • Regional Economic Growth: Supports economic development across all regions of the province.

The Strategy

KIMBO Design partnered with the Ministry of Agriculture to enhance the visual identity and communication materials for the FeedBC program. Leveraging our expertise in graphic design and branding, we crafted a cohesive suite of materials that effectively promote FeedBC’s objectives and initiatives.

FeedBC Banners: Engaging and informative banners were designed to showcase the importance of supporting local B.C. food in public institutions. These visuals highlight key messages and resonate with stakeholders across various platforms.

Brand Guide: A comprehensive brand guide was developed to ensure consistency and integrity in visual representation. It defines the use of colours, typography, logos, and overall design elements, empowering the Ministry to maintain a unified brand image.

Word Document Templates: Customized templates for Word documents were designed, integrating the new visual identity. These templates streamline document creation while maintaining professional standards and visual coherence.

PowerPoint Templates: Dynamic and professional PowerPoint templates were created to facilitate impactful presentations about FeedBC’s initiatives. These templates support effective communication of complex information in a visually compelling manner.

Newsletter Banner: A visually striking banner was crafted specifically for newsletters, enhancing engagement and reinforcing the program’s message among stakeholders through email communications.
