Goldson Gardens is a newly established company based in BC, offering a line of exotic, family recipe inspired Hot Pepper Sauces. KIMBO Design was brought on to develop a representative and engaging brand for the company, along with a brand new WordPress-powered website that is easy to use as well as packaging designs for the company’s line of products.

Design Inspiration
To ensure consistency, our design was very much inspired by Goldson Gardens’ own philosophy for its products, with strong ties to the family’s Jamaican roots:
There are many memories of being kids- crying in pain as we devoured plates of jerk chicken or hot curry. Flavours so good that we willingly subjected ourselves to this fiery experience. Being West Indian there weren’t a lot of foods that we ate that didn’t have enough Scotch Bonnet Pepper to burn off your taste buds. This was our culture and our parents expected us to embrace it. A couple of decades later and we don’t even eat popcorn without some pepper sauce on it!

Results
This project was a great success. Goldson Gardens’ line of hot pepper sauces with our branding was selected as of the finalists in the 2020 Made in Vancouver Awards (Savoury foods category). Our designs continue to be used today and serve an integral part of Golden Gardens’ corporate and online brand identities. We continue to work with the company to this day to further promote its products moving forward.
