Project Coordinator Intern (full-time)

KIMBO Design is looking for a highly motivated, energetic, and professional individual to join our team as a Project Coordinator Intern for the Fall 2024 term. The successful candidate will help manage an in-house creative team, and external consultants, act as a point of contact with clients ensuring print/digital/website projects are done on time and within budget.

We are seeking an organized, efficient, and proactive individual to join our small team of professionals by the end of this Summer. They will have exceptional customer service skills and represent our company in all interactions with clients, staff, suppliers, and potential clients.

Internship START date window: August 12th, 2024 – September 9th, 2024
Internship END date window: October 14th, 2024 – December 31st, 2024

This is an in-person position in downtown Vancouver. Remote work is not available.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS

  • The Project Coordinator Intern must be able to demonstrate that he/she can work at the coordination level.
  • Previous experience in an office environment.
  • Strong expert writer and user of Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word, including the ability to create and modify styles.
  • Project Management Course background
  • The successful candidate is an individual who thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment.
  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident. We are unable to hire International students and recent graduates, unfortunately.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Effective Communication: Maintain constant communication with the creative team and report to the Project Manager or Principal. Ensure that project progress and innovative ideas are effectively communicated to clients.
  • Consensus Building: Skillfully manage conflicting viewpoints and demonstrate the ability to build consensus among the creative team and clients, fostering a collaborative environment that supports innovative thinking – able to establish and maintain positive relationships at all levels of an organization.
  • Project Management: Drive the completion of project deliverables with a focus on innovative approaches. Oversee the daily management of the creative team and project budget, ensuring alignment with new initiatives.
  • Team Leadership: Manage a small team of 5 professionals, facilitating developers’ and designers’ workload in a way that encourages creative and entrepreneurial thinking.
  • System and Billing Management: Create projects on the system, ensuring billing aligns with project goals and innovative business strategies.
  • Meeting Participation and Organization: Actively participate in meetings, take comprehensive notes, and organize files on the server. Use these opportunities to introduce and discuss new ideas and initiatives.
  • Timely Delivery: Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and meet quality requirements, while continuously seeking ways to improve processes and outcomes through innovative approaches.

NICE TO HAVE

  • Knowledge of the current digital landscape,
  • Finance experience.
  • Knowledge of how to use project management tools like Click Up & Function Fox,
  • Familiarity with Online Media, WordPress, SEO, and backend.
  • Experience in a variety of project management methods and can be flexible and adjust as needed.
  • Project Management experience leading digital and print projects in an organization similar in scope & complexity to KIMBO Design’s work is an asset.

Wage: $18 per hour
